Did You Know?
Birds have bones in their tongue, it is called the Hyoid apparatus, which is what allows them to manipulate their food so easily with their tongues. It is made of bone and cartilage. There are 5 separate bones in their tongues, with the tip being keratinized to protect it from damage when chewing and manipulating objects and food. So Cool!
